Ever wanted to know what 11 lbs. of chocolate looked like?

Well, here is your chance.

Friday night was fondue night, but instead of using cheese, we decided on using chocolate. We needed a lot of chocolate to make the fondue, so CJ and I decided to go to Wild Oats Market since that market sells chocolate in large chunks. We wereying to find enough chocolate to make fondue. Among the large chunks of chocolate was an enormous 11 pound brick of chocolate. It was so large that we couldn't pass it up. Plus we figured that we would get through half of it that night and save the other half for another time. Boy were we wrong. We used up maybe 1/10th of the chocolate. Now we have maybe 9 or so pounds of chocolate left in the freezer. I shall write more once November is here.

Hi, i'm Wilford Brimley and I have Diabetiss...

[Listening to: Supergrub - Submerged from the album "Communicator"]

I was just watching a commercial with Wilford Brimley, you know, the guy who advertises Dibetes testing materials. I can't look at Wilford Brimley the same way after watching Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story and how they totally ripped on him. I saw that commercial a few minutes ago and laughed the whole way through because I kept thinking about the movie. Anyone feeling the same way?

BLLJBFLBSDOCJSBHDLFHSGDFCUSDVKCFUDVCD DANGERDOOM!!!!

[Listening to: Dangerdoom - Sofa King from the album "The Mouse & The Mask"]

Well, stuff has happened since I last updated. The school flooded and caused damage to one of the main roads and part of one of the parking lots. That was loads of fun. Check it out. I had a bunch of tests last week, didn't go so well, but I got an A on one of my papers in Government, so I was happy about that. I jammed with some friends on Friday, hung out with Jessie, Dave, my laptop and a bottle of Jack Daniels on Saturday, and cleaned the bathroom on Sunday. Man that bathroom was horriffic!! I'm so glad I cleaned. Room 1101 now has wireless internet thanks to CJ's wireless router. Wireless internet = awesome! You know what's even more awesome? Dangerdoom. What a great freakin' album. Well worth the two weeks of waiting (freakin' Amazon.com....). I've finally ordered a hardshell case for my guitar. No longer will I have to lug my guitar around in the cardboard box that it came in. w00t. And now I have run out of stuff to write about. So I shall stop now. Alright. Done. Finished. Finito. End.

Holy Noah's Ark Batman!

For the last 8 days it has rained nonstop, but the rain wasn't bad to the point that it would cause significant damage. If it didn't rain, it was overcast. I only saw a speck of sky once this week because of a passing cloud break. All the rain that happened in the last week was nothing compared to today. The rain came hard nonstop all day. Slowly it picked up throughout the day to the point where floods started. Earlier in the night I noticed a lot of puddles slowly turn into ponds. That wasn't the worst of it. I hung out in the 7s for a few hours tonight, and as I walked back to my room, I decided to check and see how the parking lots were looking.

I could not believe my eyes when I saw Hog River (the river that flows through the university) overflowing into Parking lot E. That flood was terrible, I mean it was like white water rapids passing through our school. If E lot flooded, I can be pretty certain that C and D lots are completely gone. This is the first flood I've witnessed in person, and boy is it a big one. This year is shaping up to be an interesting one so far, I must say. I wonder how this is going to look in the morning. I may have to see how my carpentry skills are....

HP + FedEx = Love....

[Listening to: Supergrub - Submerged from the album "Communicator"]

So, I gots me a laptop now. The HP Pavillion zv6000 I've been jabbering on about. It's a kickass laptop too. It came in like record time too! It was supposed to be out of build and shipped by the 12th and be shipped by 5-7 day shipping, but it got shipped out on the 10th and came the next day! What makes it really crazy is the fact that the laptop shipped FROM FUCKING CHINA!!!!!! You don't believe me? Here's a summary of the shipping process via the tracking number:

I'm still blown away about how fast this came in. I'm enjoying every second of my new toy here. I've dubbed it "The Lappy". I've been using this nonstop for the last few days. I had to test out its wireless capabilities, so I took it to the library and tried it out. That's right, I went to the library! The wireless access there was amazingly fast! I had fun in the library, especially since my friend Jeff was there with a few of his pals. I'm totally in love with this laptop! I had been reading up on it, and according to some of the websites, the internal speakers weren't going to be brand name, just generic speakers. My friend St. Clair has the zv5000 and his came with Harmon Kardon speakers. Turns out HP installed Altec Lansing speakers in this bad boy, and I couldn't be happier. I can crank up these speakers LOUD! I fell asleep by my laptop one night and forgot to put up an away message, so for the rest of the night all poor CJ heard while trying to sleep was the sound of people logging in and out. I was out cold because I didn't get that much sleep the night before, so I basically hibernated that night. TV, lights, loud ass laptop, all in front of me. Slept through it all.

I feel kinda bad because my desktop has kinda been pushed to the side now that I have this. It hasn't been turned off though because i've networked that and the laptop together with my router and now I have a nice roundabout network where both computers can interface with each other and share files, and I can even print on my laptop even though I didn't install the printer drivers on it. Networking is so tits. My whole setup is tits. I'll have pictures of it as soon as friend Josh McPuss comes back with my camera. Where the hell is he? I have to find him. Time to end this. It's 4:32 in the morning.

Things are looking up....

Today was pretty up and down. I woke up feeling alright, but something didn't feel right. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I looked at the date and realized why I was feeling the way I felt. Two years ago today my grandfather passed away. It's been tough because I think about him a lot, and I miss him even more. I wasn't quite feeling myself for a couple days before. I did some laundry, and I didn't fold any of it up for like two days, which is very unlike me, no matter how lazy I'm feeling in a given day. What didn't help was that I two tests to take today, one in Biology and one in Formal Languages and Automata. I tried to do some quick glancing through my notes before the tests, but I couldn't do it. I was feeling better before my classes, especially since I got part one of my laptop purchase: the backpack. I was fine walking to class, but the second I walked into class, I completely changed. I don't know if anxiety got the best of me, but all I could think about during my Computer Graphics class was my grandfather. i had the hardest time concentrating in that class, and I could hardly joke with anyone. By the end of the class, I physically couldn't get out of my seat for like a good minute. After I was able to compose myself, I made it to my first test and got through it with my full concentration. After I got through that test, I was fine. Test anxiety is a bitch. Pile that along with today's significance, and it's maybe three times as bad. But i'm alright right now, I made it through the day.

Still miss ya man, Rest in peace.

No, I did not cut my hair, please stop asking....

[Listening to: P.O.D. - Eternal from the album "Payable On Death"]

So, I have a new hair style. You can thank Shepherd Book from Firefly for inspiring me to try this. Speaking of Firefly, that series fucking rocked. Another reason why the brainless monkeys at the Fox Network should be kicking themselves in the ass. With that being said, you should have figured out by now that I've seen Serenity. Holy shit, that movie was AWESOME!!!!!!! Before watching that movie, I had never seen Firefly or anything that Joss Whedon had created (I know about Buffy and Angel, I just never watched), but after seeing that movie, I have come to the realization that Joss Whedon is a freakin' genius. That movie is on so many levels of awesome it's nuts. After watching Serenity, my friends and I decided to watch the whole Firefly series on DVD since CJ has it. Now I understand why so many loved that show. And Shepherd Book, his hair alone made him the man. His unknown shady past gave him lots of points too. I want to be awesome like Shepherd Book, so the logical first step was to emulate the hair. The military training will come at a later date. So do yourselves a favor and go see Serenity. You'll be glad you did. I just may go see it again.

In non-Serenity or hair-related news, I'm getting a new laptop. HP Pavillion zv6000. 15.4" widescreen display, AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor (2 GHz), 512MB RAM, 128MB ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card, 100GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, and 802.11 b/g wireless internet capabilities. So much awesome in one laptop, and it only cost $1,153. I saved an assload of money because of the free upgrades, free wireless, free Brightview screen upgrade, free second battery, and free shipping. Fuck yeah! That's a good $200+ i didn't have to spend! Plus there's no tax because I'm having it shipped to the school instead of home, so that saves me another $100! H00tz! I tried to sign up to HP's financing service so I could pay it off little by little without interest, but I make so little money I got rejected really quickly. Fortunately my mother was nice enough to let me be indebted to her until I can pay her back, which should be in about 4 months if all goes well (fingers crossed). It will all be worth the debt, for I will have a kickass laptop that I can haul around instead of my big ass desktop. W00tn3ss and H00r4y!!1 Apparently the backpack I got for the laptop is coming first.

In music related news, I came up with a new song on my guitar. It has a feel that's somewhere between Bluegrass and Celtic music. I'll make a preliminary recording and when I eventually get my Omega Desktop Recording Studio, I'll make it all nice and polished. CJ will be playing flute on it. It will be a good time. Stupid money not comin in fast enough (mumbles). Oh well, in due time. I'll just keep slaving away at the Commons until I get all I have to get.

Time to go to bed now, I'll catch everyone on the flipside....
