So, yeah....

[Listening to: Soulive - Aladdin from the album "Soulive"]

I haven't updated in a while because there has been nothing for me to update about. But to summarize things: classes = sucking major asshole, but fortunately I have friends that are smart and can help me out of this hole (Josh). I took my second Politics test, I did better than the first time due to the shere fact that I was able to do all five essays in the given time. Work: going very well. No problems there. Music: got a new song going. It's a jazz song that's somewhere between Soulive, Miles Davis and Yoko Kanno (composed most of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, among other things.) I'm trying something different, instead of using WinJammer like I have been for the last 4 years, I'm giving Fruity Loops 5 a try. It works surprisingly well, and isn't as hard as I thought previously thanks to St. Clair's crash course. I hope to be done by the end of this month, but seeing as how this is a jazz song, it's going to be harder to transpose my ideas from my brain to the computer because of all the complex chords. But i'll get it all done and it will rock...or whatever term can be used to describe an awesome jazz song.

Saturday my friend Oz and a few of his friends are coming up to Hartford to catch a show at the Webster Theatre, and so I'm going to catch up with him there, as well as check out some cool bands. Well I'm all nice and up to speed. Time for bed.

Well, it's November now....

Saturday was a lot of fun. CJ and I went to this restaurant called Panera Bread to take part in a kickoff party for National Novel Writing Month, an organization whose goal is for participants to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. We decided to go because the place looked like it had really good food, plus free Wi-Fi internet. Not too many people showed up, just me, CJ, the kickoff organizer, and another girl who ended up leaving early because she didn't notice any signs of any NaNo-related activity, although the organizer, Kat, set up a table with note pads that said "NaNo '05" on them, adorned by green and tan army men. Oh well, we all had fun talking about various random crap and making fun of people's novels. It was a good time. the food at Panera was delicious. Expensive, but very good. I had broccoli cheddar soup and pepperblue steak sandwich. Man were they good!

After Panera, we got back to campus and checked out an event going on in Konover called Metal Masquerade. It was a party consisting of live metal music and serious moshing. I had a chance to learn the art of moshing. I never realized how much excercise you could get from moshing. It's a lot of work, but it's hella fun. I need to work out and get in shape so my body can be more fit for moshing. Next year, next year.

This weekend was pretty decent. It was fun watching all my friends in various Halloween costumes. I've never been one for Halloween, but this year seemed kinda different. Watching everyone in costume made me consider dressing up for the first time since junior high school. Maybe, just maybe, i'll do something next year. Maybe. Well, I'm done jabbering on for now. Until next time....
