Holy Noah's Ark Batman!
For the last 8 days it has rained nonstop, but the rain wasn't bad to the point that it would cause significant damage. If it didn't rain, it was overcast. I only saw a speck of sky once this week because of a passing cloud break. All the rain that happened in the last week was nothing compared to today. The rain came hard nonstop all day. Slowly it picked up throughout the day to the point where floods started. Earlier in the night I noticed a lot of puddles slowly turn into ponds. That wasn't the worst of it. I hung out in the 7s for a few hours tonight, and as I walked back to my room, I decided to check and see how the parking lots were looking.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw Hog River (the river that flows through the university) overflowing into Parking lot E. That flood was terrible, I mean it was like white water rapids passing through our school. If E lot flooded, I can be pretty certain that C and D lots are completely gone. This is the first flood I've witnessed in person, and boy is it a big one. This year is shaping up to be an interesting one so far, I must say. I wonder how this is going to look in the morning. I may have to see how my carpentry skills are....
