What an awesome day!
[Listening to: Soulive - Uncle Junior from the album "Turn It Out"]
Today turned out to be a really good day. My Assembly language class was cancelled for the second time this week. I wonder if the professor's alright. I hope he didn't come down with a sickness that tries to consume his soul like last term. He barely made it out of that one. I hope all's alright. Since that class was cancelled, and it was the only class I had for that day, I had yet another day off! W00t!! I decided to celebrate by going to the Commons and meeting up with my friend Josh. We enjoyed some delicious sub-par crap and then we decided to take advantage of the lovely day and go to the mall. It was quite an adventure trying to get to the mall. We were on the highway, and Josh noticed that his truck was starting to act up. He looked on the dashboard to see if anything was up. He was out of gas. "Oh, shit!" was the first thing that came to both of our minds as we realized what was going on. Josh got off at the closest exit and tried to find a gas station. As soon as he made it onto a main road, the car started sputtering badly. He stopped the car in a random driveway to give the car a rest. All we could do at that point was laugh because neither of us had ever experienced something like this before. He turned the car on, and it held up good enough to make it to a gas station a block away from where we were. What a relief that was! After the truck was gassed up and we had a drink to calm us down, we were able to make it to the mall with no problem.
We didn't really do to much at the mall, but I did end up buying a Guinness shirt for $10. Not bad, I'd say. After the mall, we stopped by Toys 'R Us and bought a Backgammon game. Josh likes Backgammon and I wanted to learn, so it worked out for the both of us. While we were there, I got a chance to try out Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for the Gamecube. That is a very interesting game I must say. Your only controller is this modified bongo drum and you have to bang on the left or right drum to move left or right, and other various combinations for movement. I actually started getting into it. As soon as I was getting into a groove, the demo ended. Rats. After we left there, we stopped by Daddy's Junky Music. I don't remember what time we arrived, maybe around 2:30 or so, but we didn't leave until sometime after 6. We had so much fun playing around with all those instruments, we almost didn't leave. I got to play the guitar that I've been drooling over again, the Ibanez Artcore AWD82 in electric blue. I LOVE THAT F#$%!*& GUITAR!!!! It plays ooooooh soooo nice, it feels nice, everything about it screams quality. And it's only $350, which is pretty inexpensive for a hollow body guitar. While I was spacing out on that guitar, Josh toyed around with all the various delicious basses out on display. We had so much fun playing around with the guitars and basses and amplifiers, We wouldn't have left until it closed if it weren't for the fact that dinner was going on at the Commons. We made it back in time to catch up with all my people. We ate with them, and then we were going to go to Buckand Hills Mall with two more of our friends, but the truck could only fit three people at most. We tried squeezing everybody in, but that was a terrible idea, so we scratched that idea and decided to play board games at Josh's. We played Spades, Backgammon, Cribbage, and Mancala, all of which were a lot of to play. By the time we were done playing all those games, it was almost 11, so I decided to call it a night.
And now I'm back here, and I'm going to install my DVD burner since it's finally back from the manufacturer. Hopefully it's all fixed and crap now. Fingers crossed!!
